※ The Korea Carbon Neutral Environmental Association uses the standard terms and conditions reviewed by the Fair Trade Commission.
Article 1 (Purpose, etc.)
① These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") are intended to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between users and the Korea Carbon Neutral Environmental Association (hereinafter referred to as "KCNEA") regarding the use of internet-related services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by KCNEA.
② A person who wishes to become a user is deemed to agree to these Terms by pressing a confirmation button (e.g., Apply, Inquire, Confirm, Register, Write, Send, etc.) after completing the prescribed procedure determined by KCNEA. Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by relevant laws of the Republic of Korea and general business practices.
Article 2 (Definition of User)
① "User" refers to a person who accesses the KCNEA website, registers as a member according to these Terms, and receives services provided by KCNEA.
Article 3 (Membership Registration)
① A person who wishes to become a user applies for membership by filling out the membership form determined by KCNEA and clicking the "Register" button.
② KCNEA shall register the applicant as a member unless the applicant falls under any of the following cases:
If the applicant has previously lost membership according to Article 6, Paragraph 3 of these Terms. However, exceptions are made if three years have passed since the membership loss and re-registration approval has been obtained from KCNEA.
If there is false information, omissions, or errors in the registration content.
If it is deemed that registering the applicant as a member would cause significant technical difficulties for KCNEA.
③ The membership contract is established when KCNEA’s acceptance reaches the applicant.
④ Members must immediately update any changes to their membership information.
Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)
① KCNEA performs the following tasks:
1. Provision of content and information
2. Delivery of goods or services for which purchase contracts have been concluded
3. Other tasks determined by KCNEA
② KCNEA may change the contents of goods or services to be provided under future contracts due to changes in technical specifications or other reasons. In this case, KCNEA will announce the changes at least seven days before the effective date.
Article 5 (Service Suspension)
① KCNEA may temporarily suspend service provision due to maintenance, replacement, or malfunction of information and communication equipment, or interruption of communication, and may completely discontinue current services if deemed necessary.
② In such cases, KCNEA will notify users according to Article 7, Paragraph 2. However, if service interruption occurs due to uncontrollable reasons (e.g., system failure without administrator negligence), prior notification may not be possible.
Article 6 (User Withdrawal and Disqualification)
① Users may request KCNEA at any time to cancel their membership registration, and KCNEA shall proceed immediately.
② KCNEA may restrict, suspend, or disqualify a user in the following cases:
Registering false information during membership application
Interfering with others’ use of the service or stealing information
Using the service for illegal or immoral activities
③ If KCNEA decides to disqualify a user, the user will be notified before membership cancellation and given an opportunity to explain within 30 days of notification.
Article 7 (User Notification)
① KCNEA may notify specific users via the email address provided.
② For unspecified users, notifications may be replaced by postings on the KCNEA bulletin board for at least seven days.
Article 8 (Protection of User’s Personal Information)
① KCNEA collects essential personal information (name, gender, address, contact number, date of birth) when users register.
② KCNEA strives to protect users’ personal information in accordance with relevant laws and the “Privacy Policy” established by KCNEA.
Article 9 (KCNEA’s Obligations)
① KCNEA shall not engage in any prohibited or immoral activities and shall provide continuous and stable services according to these Terms.
② KCNEA shall take necessary measures to protect users’ personal information, including credit information.
③ KCNEA shall not send unsolicited commercial emails.
Article 10 (User’s ID and Password Management)
① Except as otherwise provided by law or the Privacy Policy, users are responsible for managing their ID and password.
② Users must not allow third parties to use their ID and password.
③ In case of theft or unauthorized use of their ID or password, users must immediately report to KCNEA and follow its guidance.
Article 11 (User Obligations)
① Users must not:
Register false information during membership application or updates
Alter information posted by KCNEA
Infringe on KCNEA’s or others’ intellectual property rights or disturb business
Steal another member’s ID
Collect, store, or disclose others’ personal information without consent
Violate service use rules specified by KCNEA
② KCNEA may restrict, suspend, or disqualify users violating these obligations.
③ Users are responsible for compensating any damages caused to KCNEA or others.
④ Minors must obtain prior consent from their legal guardians before purchasing paid content.
Article 12 (Management of Postings)
① Postings include posts, questions, and answers uploaded by users.
② Users are responsible for any issues caused by their posted information unless caused by KCNEA’s intentional misconduct.
③ Users must not post content violating public order, morality, or others’ rights. Any resulting liabilities are borne by the user.
④ KCNEA may delete postings without prior notice and restrict users if the content:
Defames or slanders others
Violates public order or good morals
Is related to criminal acts
Infringes intellectual property rights
Is inappropriate or unrelated to the bulletin board’s purpose
Violates relevant laws
Causes religious or political disputes disrupting KCNEA’s operations
⑤ If a third party claims a legal violation caused by a user’s posting, KCNEA may restrict access to the posting until the issue is resolved.
Article 13 (Copyright and Usage Restrictions)
① Copyrights and intellectual property rights to works created by KCNEA belong to KCNEA.
② Users must not use information obtained from KCNEA for commercial purposes without prior consent.
Article 14 (Amendment of Terms)
① KCNEA may revise these Terms to the extent permitted by laws such as the Regulation of Terms and Conditions Act, Basic Act on Electronic Commerce, Electronic Signature Act, and Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization.
② If the revisions are disadvantageous to users, KCNEA will notify users at least 30 days before the effective date.
Article 15 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
① Lawsuits related to electronic transaction disputes between KCNEA and users shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
② Korean law shall apply to lawsuits between KCNEA and users.
